"Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come , you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; i was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prision an you came to Me.'"
"Jesus explains that he will reward those who help people who are hungry, thirsty, needy, sick, or in prison. The King in the story stands for God. Taking caare of hurting people is so important to him that when you care for the needy, you're giving directly to God. You may wonder how you can help the poor and homeless. Maybe you could volunteer with your family to serve a meal at a shelter. Or you could collect toys for children who don't have any. There are lots of ways you can help people less fortunate than yourself. Ask your mom or dad to help you get involved. Everybody is precious to Jesus, and he wants you to love them too. Ask God to show you ways to help the needy."

Revelation 1:8
"'I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.' says the Lord, 'who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."
"God is so big that you can give yourself a headache wondering just how big he is. Some adults who have studied God for a long time say the more they learn about him, the more they realize how much more there is to learn. That's kind of cool. You can never fully understand everything about God-and that's a good thing. He's mightier, greater, and more powerful than anyone could ever dream. He's been around forever, is around right now, and will be around in the future. Thank God for his majesty and that he's always there."

Daniel 2:27-28
"Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, 'The secret which the king has demanded, the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, and the soothsayers cannot declare to the king. But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of you head upon you bed....'"
"In these verses Daniel tells King Nebuchadnezzar that God can do what no wise man or magician can. God can reveal secrets. God showed is power through Daniel many times. At this point in the story, King Nebuchadnezzar wanted to know the meaning of a dream he had. Just one problem, he wouldn't tell anybody his dream. All of the wise men, enchanters, and magicians failed to give the king the correct answer. That's when Daniel stepped in and saved the day. God told Daniel King Nebuchadnezzar's dream and helped him interpret it. God revealed the secrets of the king's heart. And God knows your dreams right now, not just the dreams you have at night but your dreams for the future. Thank God for knowing and guiding your future. God reveals special serets to people who believe in him."

Psalm 73: 23-24
"Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, And afterward receive me to glory."
"Jesus is always with you, so close that he holds your hand. He guides you. And at the end of your life, he will take you home to heaven to be with him. When you were little and went to a busy public place with your dad, you probably held his hand. Wehn you hold someone's hand you feel safe because you know that you are not alone. Your dad could also guide you in the right direction as your hand rested safely in his. It's the same way with Jesus. In this crazy world, he is so close to you that you can imagine him holding your hand. He wals with you through everything you face- good and bad. There's noreason to be afraid. No matter where you go, Jesus is with you. And he will stay with you until the ay he takes you home to be with him. When you hold Jesus's hand, you are always safe. Thank Jesus for holding your hand."

2 Timothy 3:16-17
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
"These verses say that every word in the Bible comes from God. The Bible helps Christians get ready for every good work, because it straightens us out, teaches us, and prepares us to live right. If you are not reading your Bible and praying to God daily, now is a great time to start. Learning about Jesus Christ will help you grow closer to him. And there's no better way to learn about God than by reading his Word. You don't have to read all of Genesis in one night. Just get yourself in the habit of opening your Bible and reading for one minute a day. Then pray for another minute. Pretty soon you may want to increase your time. You might be surprised by how much you will learn. Tell God you want to change your habits to learn more about him."

Romans 8:34
"Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us."
"This verse paints a neat picture of heaven. It says that no one can put you down in God's eyes, because Christ Jesus is at the right hand of God, defending you to him. Have you ever watched a court show on TV? The defense lawyer is on the side of the person on trial. The Lawyer for the other side is called the prosecutor, and he tries to convince the judge that the person is guilty. The defense lawyer works between the judge and prosecutor to come up with a good result for his client.
Jesus is your defense lawyer. He fights for you. Satan tells God about all the bad stuff you've done and says, 'There's no way you should let him/her into heaven. That kid has messed up a thousand times. You can't have all that sin up here.' But Jesus leans over to God and says, 'Yeah, it's true that he/she has made mistakes. But I died for that person. That person is blameless. Thank Jesus for always standing up for you."

Hebrews 6:19
"This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil..."
"This verse talks about anchors. It says your hope in Jesus Christ is like an anchor. you can trust in Jesus' love and promises. He'll always be there. He'll never move. Your hope in him is secure.
Jesus spent a lot of time on the water. He knew a lot about boats. He calmed the sea during a terrible storm just by speaking a word. he walked on the water. Several of Jesus' disciples were fishermen, which means they knew a lot about boats too. So when you read that your hope in Jesus Christ is firm and secure like an anchor, you can be sure the writer knew what he was talking about. He understood anchors. Without a good anchor, you can lose your boat. Having a trustworthy anchor is important. And no anchor is stronger than Jesus. You can put your hope in him.
Tell God you're going to trust him to anchor your life."

Joshua 23: 14
"Behold this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all you souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you. All have ocme to pass for you; not one word of them has failed."
"God made many promises to his people, the Isrealites, when he led them into the Promised Land. He told them he would provide for them and help them to conquer other nations. Before Joshua, the leader of Isreal, died he reminded the people that every promise God had made to them had come true. You may wonder if you can trust God's Word. Will he really give you eternal life if you trust in his Son? Will he really help you to do what is right? will he really be with you always? If you look back on the promises God has made in the past, you can see that he is faithful to do what he says. He promised his people a Savior would come to save them from their sins. And he sent Jesus to do just that! Ask God to help you trust his promised today!

proverbs 12:18
"There is one who speaks like the piercing of the sword, but the tongue of the wise promotes health."
"This verse talks directly about the things we say. It says some people hurt others with what comes out of their mouths, but wise people use healing words. Do you want your words to stab people or bring them to healing? The choice is yours. Nobody can force you to say something. You have to think it and then open your lips to let it out. You can stop the message or change it anytime you want.
Think about what you said to people this week. Did you tease your little sister or talk back to your parents? Did you join other kids in making fun of a student at school? It's easy to say something but impossible to take it back. And while you can't take back words, you can work to make things better with people you may have hurt. Ask God to bring to mind people to whom you should apologize. Then pray you'll have the courage to make things right."

Psalm 139:13-14
"For You formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."
"Sometimes David just liked to sit, think, write about God. In these verses he recognizes God's awesome creative powers. It's God who forms each one of us, and all of his works are wonderful. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Doesn't that make you feel special? When God made Earth, stars, planets, plants, animals, he "saw that it was good" (Gen 1:25). But when God made the first man and woman, the Bible says 'it was excellent in every way' (Gen 1:31). All people are created in God's image-no matter the color of their skin or if they're mentally or physically challenged. You might know someone with a disability. Maybe you try to avoid that person. Next time, why not make a point of saying hi and treating him like one of God's amazing creations? Ask God ot help you treat all people as his special creation."

Ecclesiastes 7:8
"The end of a thing is better than its beginning; The patient is spirit is better than the proud in spirit."
"During his day , king Solomon was considered the wisest man in the world. In this verse Solomon says finishing a project is better than starting one. He adds that having patience is better than being proud. do you start things but don't have time to finish them? Do you feel that days are too short because you can't get everything done? You might be too busy. If your life is out of whack because you're hanging out with friends too much or spending a lot of time playing sports, you may want to ask your parents to help you bring your life back in balance. And if you're too busy to spend a little time with God every day, it's time for a balance check. Ask God to show you where you can make more time for him every day."
